Story

Story

Lupin proceeds to submerge a Swiss bank per Fujikos request and successfully manages to steal its treasures and secrets. However, Fujikos interest lies solely on the Columbus File, an ancient document that contains valuable clues to the whereabouts of the hidden treasure Columbus Egg. It is what a famous Admiral, Takaaki, has left behind as his lasting legacy. Soon thereafter, the ruffian Nazaroff appears, and although Fujiko succeeds in memorizing the entire content of the document before burning it up, she loses all her memory afterwards from the shock and trauma of the fight.

This is the much talked-about and critically acclaimed 11th Special of Lupin The Third. The story revolves around a true historical mystery from the end of the 15th century that is approached in that familiar and beloved Lupin Special fashion.

In this tale of adventure and intrigue, Lupin and Fujiko are after a mysterious treasure called the Columbus Egg. They succeed in acquiring the Columbus File which discloses the location of the treasure but are then attacked by the Barton Gang who are also after the same treasure. The file is then reduced to mere ashes. Furthermore, Fujiko, the only person who saw the file, while running from the Gang falls off a cliff and becomes missing. A few days later Fujiko is found by a treasure hunter named Rosaria, but she is suffering from amnesia and cant even remember her own name. Lupin becomes quite concerned and begins searching for Fujiko, but Bartons outside man, Nazaroff, stands in his way. With Rosaria, who is also after the Columbus Egg, joining in the chase, it becomes a three-way fight to retrieve the repressed memory from Fujiko.
