Story

Story

A heartwarming and musical tale of the loving bond between mother and son

Hal is a raccoon with a great talent for playing the grass whistle. One day, she finds a human baby abandoned in the forest. The kind-hearted Hal couldnt bear to leave the baby alone, and decides to take him in and raise him as her own. She takes on the form of a human and names the baby Pal. She vows never to reveal to Pal that she is really a raccoon. Pal grows up, cared for by Hal and the animals of the forest. He even learns to play the grass whistle, eventually surpassing Hals playing skill.
Then one day, a musician named Chocopan loses his way into the forest and happens to hear Pal playing the grass whistle. Chocopan asks Pal to come with him to the city to study music. Hal decides that its for the best that Pal returns to the human world, and encourages him to accept the offer. Hal sees him off, promising him that he will always have a home with her in the forest. And she secretly prays for Pals happiness.
Hal decides to continue living her life in human form so that she can welcome Pal whenever he comes back. But something happens, and Hal disappears. Pal, after becoming a virtuoso flutist, returns to the forest and looks for Hal. And then, a miracle happens...
