The year is 1999 and there has been an explosion on a nuclear submarine. A new religious cult in the United States called the "Nostradamus Sect" declare that the incident was as described in the "book of prophecies". Later, a passenger plane carrying a soccer team is hijacked, and the sole daughter, Julia, of the giant conglomerate Douglas Foundation is kidnapped. Lupin and Jigen, who were coincidently on board the same aircraft, managed to subdue the situation. However, according to Fujiko, who was working as Julia's chaperone, the treasure, "prophecies of Nostradamus," worth 50 million dollars, is hidden on the top floor of the Foundation's headquarters in Atlanta....
